This is the second story that I've read by Kevay (Best Night Ever, one of the most terrifying erotic stories I've ever read, is the other). It's better, but still not all that great.Rose is driving away from her life with her terrible boyfriend when she picks up a hitchhiker, Heath. They are immediately attracted to each other and, after talking about his ex for a "couple of hours" (what a turn-on, am I right, ladies?), they decide to check into a hotel and see where the night takes them. So far, not so terrible, if not awesome. The night in the hotel is kind of sketchy (although this story skips some of the stomach-churning details that made "Best Night Ever" so traumatic it still includes some details that didn't need to be there -- like, can we just assume they cleaned the vibrator between using in different orifices without being explicitly told?), but fairly standard for erotic fiction.
The ending is a bit of silly fairy tale fluff.

The Ride edition by Keara Kevay Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I liked this books style but felt the writing could use some streaming up. The ending was lame. The engagement was unnecessary but the reconnect with Heath was cute.
I've read a lot of books where a woman ends up having sex with some random stranger and I get bored pretty easily and skim through the book, but I'm happy to say that this isn't one of those books.
Rose is a woman that has a boyfriend named Aaron, who is a complete and utter douchebag. Not only has he cheated on her but, he doesn't treat her right either. While on her way out of town to take a week long vacation away to reevaluate her relationship with Aaron, she picks up a hitch hiker named Heath. Heath is handsome, with a great body and a even better smile. While talking, they discover that they both just want to be happy and at the present moment, neither one of them are.
They end up having the most amazing sex that she has ever had and Heath makes her feel like the beautiful woman that she is. There journey ends much too soon and Rose finds herself staying with Aaron despite her feelings of boredom with him. I wont give the ending away but, I must say that I am glad that I read this book from beginning to end without skimming though it. It is a must read!!!!
I can honestly say that this book is a great fantasy. Dialog was a bit over the top in the sex scene. Made me think of bad porn. But the story itself was good. Complete fantasy, would never happen in real life, but thats ok. I like fantasy books just as much as any other girl.
What more can I say, this is a delicous escape. Normally I don't like short stories because the characters seem so one dimensional as the author has no time to develop them. Keara did a nice job of making the characters real. I really enjoyed the story & look forward to reading more of her work.
Absolutely no character development. I finished this book in 45 minutes and that was rereading some parts to even understand what the hell was going on. Such poor writing, scenes, characters, it was all around awful. I am so glad I did not waste any money on this garbage. This "author" seriously needs to stop trying to push a "passion" for she clearly has no talent/gift for it.
I liked this story, I didn't even care that there was got sex (ish) in it. Now for me to say that means that there was great character development and a good plot. The original thought of picking up a hitchhiker was challenging for my over-aware sense of safety, but the interactions between the male and female leads made me forget that he was a hitchhiker. It actually made me believe that sleep mates actually exist (yea, call me a pessimist or a realist). The story was very cute and hot and I felt that this story was actually based on real events and not a work of fiction.
I loved reading this book, Rose & Heath are amazing together. They hit it off right away, after she picks him up on I -41 the interstate on her way out of FL. They talk and get to know each other, then they spend the most incredibly sexual night together, get back in the car and she drives him all the way to VA. She spends a week with her girlfriend in Raleigh then goes back to FL, where her boyfriend Aaron proposes things are fine for a couple of months. Then she gets a phone call on her cell from Heath, which her fiancé picks up, and he freaks and says his wife will not be talking to him anymore. Then he hangs the phone up confronts his fiancé and smacks her in the face. Read this book to find out what happens! It was funny, made me laugh and cry and made me cum a lot. Enjoy
